Role Summary/Purpose

For our department Product Line Management we are looking for a

Product Cost Manager (m/f)

Essential Responsibilities

This position is responsible to work closely with multiple functions to calculate product cost for the assigned product lines. The special focus of GE Jenbacher on cost will make this position even more valuable for the future. This position will provide expertise and analytical view on product costs in order to achieve full visibility of cost details and cost-out potentials to further drive the cost-out program & focus for GE Jenbacher.

Your responsibilities:

Understand and support existing product cost calculation for all engine types and further improve current product costing process

Lead product costing system in new Oracle application

Lead yearly update of cost database and coordinate input with all functions

Ensure that product cost calculation correctly reflects material and labour cost by working closely together with involved functions (CommOps, Sourcing, Engineering, Finance)

Analyze variances between budget calculation and actual cost

Coordinate Business Cases for NPI´s and set up a process to calculate and track product cost of new products

Support Product Cost Leader on tracking and analyzing actual product cost

Provide input to cost review meetings and help to prepare metrics for monthly reviews

Support Product Cost Leader on continual development and improvement of the cost controlling systems

Qualifications/Requirements

Your qualifications:

Degree (FH or University) in business and/or in a technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and technical/professional experience

Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in a similar role with technical and/or analytical background

Ability to understand and improve complex processes in a cross-functional environment

Precise and professional working style with high affinity to numbers

Good understanding of IT systems (Oracle) and MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint…)

Strong technical and analytical skills

Good verbal and written communication skills in English and German

Results-driven personality with high organizational and time-management skills.
